Your Shoulder Pain Is Holding You Back From What You Love

Whether it's benching at the gym, reaching overhead, or throwing with power, shoulder pain makes everything harder. You've probably tried rest, ice, and generic exercises—but the pain keeps coming back. Without proper treatment, shoulder dysfunction only gets worse, leading to compensations that affect your entire body.

Rotator Cuff Strain Keeping You Out of the Gym

You feel sharp pain during pressing movements or overhead work, and you're tired of scaling back your training.

Shoulder Impingement Limiting Your Range

Reaching overhead or behind your back causes pinching pain, making everyday tasks frustrating.

Post-Surgery Stiffness Slowing Your Recovery

You had surgery months ago but still can't get your full strength or mobility back.

"Grit Physical Therapy has given me the ability to keep up with Life. As my active lifestyle has changed over the years, they've made it possible to not only adapt but to get stronger. I have always suffered from a very limited range of motion but through Grit's programming I have been able to impact those limitations. In my 40's I am still able to keep up with the demands of a High Intensity work out and complete Endurance Sports like Spartan Races, Triathlons and 50+ mile bike tours. Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions about cash-based physical therapy? We've got answers.

How is Grit PT different from other physical therapy clinics?

We provide one-on-one, cash-based care, which means you get Dr. Wong's undivided attention for the entire session. No shared appointments, no assistants running your exercises—just expert, personalized care focused on getting you results. Our approach blends manual therapy, movement analysis, and performance training to address the root cause of your pain, not just mask symptoms.

Do you accept insurance?

We operate on a cash-based model, which allows us to provide longer, more effective treatment sessions without insurance limitations. Many patients find that the quality of care and faster recovery time make it a worthwhile investment. We can provide a superbill for potential reimbursement through your insurance provider.

How long are treatment sessions?

Sessions are 55-60 minutes of one-on-one care with Dr. Wong. This allows time for hands-on treatment, exercise prescription, movement coaching, and education—everything you need to progress toward your goals.

How many sessions will I need?

Every patient is different, but most shoulder pain cases see significant improvement within 6-10 sessions. During your initial evaluation, Dr. Wong will assess your condition and provide a clear timeline based on your specific goals and needs.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Wear comfortable athletic clothing that allows easy access to your shoulder—tank tops, sports bras, or loose t-shirts work great. You'll be moving during the session, so dress like you would for a light workout.

Do you treat conditions other than shoulder pain?

Yes! While this page focuses on shoulder pain, we treat all types of sports injuries and movement dysfunctions, including knee pain, back pain, hip issues, running injuries, and post-surgical rehabilitation. If you're an active adult dealing with pain or limitations, we can help.
